Brandon Giles is packing the house on Friday and Saturday nights at Layla’s Bluegrass Inn on Broadway. Unless Brandon is touring or playing a private gig, you will find him taking the stage 9-11 pm to the delight of his local following and visitors to Music City.
Brandon’s performance can be described as shades of Jerry Lee Lewis and Elvis . Yes, there is only one Jerry Lee and one Elvis and there is only one Brandon Giles.
Whether this Piano Man is tickling the ivories, singing or just interacting with the patrons, it is clear that Brandon is there to do one thing and that is entertain the folks who come to hear good Rock A Billy music. Entertain he does-- blond hair flying, mischievous smile, the sexy stare through the hair that falls over his eyes, fingers flying over the key board and a strong voice that belts out the songs. Brandon actually courts the audience with his poses, antics with his keyboard and his vocals. Layla’s patrons respond with cameras flashing, purchasing CDs, tossing $$ in the tip jar, applause and cheers. He gives the patrons what they want and that is excellent music and a high energy show.
Brandon has, to name a few, opened for Mickey Gilley, Lee Greenwood, Joe Diffie..or as he laughingly said, he prefers to say they closed for him. He is booked to play Tanya Tuckers birthday party, that is this month, and will be heading to Florida to be a part of the musical, The Million Dollar Quartet....
One of the hottest local acts in Nashville every Friday & Saturday night from 9pm-11pm in downtown Nashville, at Layla's Bluegrass Inn on Broadway. Pictures of Brandon were taken during the CMA Music Festival also known as Fan Fair. This show was not a part of Fan Fair, although Layla's Bluegrass Inn is in the heart of Fan Fair.
About Brandon Giles A self-taught pianist, Brandon Giles, took the influences of rock "n" roll artists such as Elvis, Rolling Stones, Professor Longhair, Hank Jr. and Jerry Lee Lewis and combined that musical energy with a new even harder rocking beat. This honkey-tonk rock n roll piano man proves he can do it all by showing off his love for true country music and ballads as well as electrifying blues. He often addresses audiences after a sweat-infused, five-minute hard rock/boogie piano solo, and then gives a heart-felt rendition of a beautiful country standard."People don't just like one kind of music. I'll bet that nearly everybody has different styles of music programmed into their car radios and it's the same with a live show, we play rock, gospel, country, blues, you want to take them on an emotional journey." http://www.tennesseeconcerts.com/brandongiles2006.html
